Question: To date, how many National League Gold Glove awards has the Rockies 26-year-old third baseman, Nolan Arenado, won in his career?
***
Answer: Four. We would have also accepted: Twice as many Gold Gloves as the number of times he’s completely robbed Ryan Braun in the first two games of the season (but that’s a mouth-full):
He’s actually 4-4 on Gold Gloves, to start his career – which is just bonkers.

Here’s that first play – from Opening Day – once again.
If you notice the score, inning, and number of outs, you’ll realize that this was something of a game-saving (or, at least, potentially-game-saving) play:
How about THIS for a game-ending double play!?#RockiesEveryday pic.twitter.com/YFzmguMVe8

Damn. I guess that’s just what multiple-Gold-Glovers do, right They make crazy-hard plays look almost easy.
But make no mistake, that diving-stop double-play was not just any old play he can pull out of his hat every single … oh wait … yeah, it is:

Considering that this play came in the first inning of the very next game (i.e. Braun’s very next at-bat), I’m guessing the Brewers’ star is gonna have some beef with the Rockies Gold Glover.
Colorado is 2-0 on the year.
