You'll probably just get a lot of dumb questions - like this one:  If I am signed in to the message board, am I signed into the site.  Maybe a FAQ page about signing in??

No they are two separate things (but you can use the same info)

Hmmmm....    I went out to register and it said   ERROR: This username is already registered. Please choose another one.  So I went out to the sign in page and it says the password for that username is invalid.  Tried it four or five times.

Did you try resetting the password?

If not that, are you sure no one else has the name you're trying to get?

Hmmm... Then I'm not sure I use the same name, password, and email on both. Maybe you registered once before and forgot that you did, try saying you forgot your password and see if it has your email. Or maybe they are linked but I remember signing up for both... I think... I was beta testing the MB board with Brett when this registration first appeared on the main page. Those of you who have been registered on both sides of BN do you remember having to register twice? Maybe just try the same credentials you use here on the login on the other page and see if that works.

I have this weird burning problem when I pee.......wait your problem or mine?
Well that's what happens when you troll BN, it's Brett's secret new security feature.

IIRC, yes, we had to register separately for both sides of the site.   But I used the TWC on both w/ no problem.

I reset my password with the same one I had before and it all seems to work.  Thanks for the tip.

The good news, after Jan 1, we wont be able to hear the folks who dont like this.

I love the change and I am looking forward to seeing fewer useless comments that when called out as useless wont be referred to as censoring dissent.

Jesus, some folks really want to believe they're living in north korea or stalinist russia.

My only question is, will the foreign spammers still be able to make there spammy posts on three year old threads?  It is my favorite feature of the front page, and I would miss it.

Other than that, I'm good with registration.

Hmmm maybe I need to create a special account just for you, and give you a Aaron Miles post each morning at 5am.

Trust me, the Russians are a very resourceful people.  If their spambots can register and make posts on the message board, they certainly can do it on the front page.
