Bernstein: Rose No Longer Humble, Hometown Kid
Posted 20 December 2013 - 08:07 AM
I can't believe I am responding to an NBA item, but I have always thought the Derrick Rose image was a sham...humble, unselfish kid (although he has to always have the ball in his hands and shoots a lot), who only wants to win championships (yet did not come back after injury when cleared for months by the Doctors)...the Bulls died for me when Jordan left the organization and they let Jerry Krause try to keep the Dynasty going...which didn't work so well
also, I know I am one of the rare birds who loves hockey, but Jonathon Toews does not get near the attention that Rose gets, and he is one of the most humble, hard-working, young leaders, and has 2 titles by 25...

If you want a few good laughs follow Toews on Twitter. He trash talks with people and everything else. I still like on a Wednesday a few weeks back he posted a pitcher of a dead camel with the caption "I told you not to say it again".
Jonathan Towes is not on twitter.
