Apparently, today was the day for some sluggers to notch their first homers of the season. Earlier, both Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell hit their first long balls of 2017, and now Andrew McCutchen added one of his own:

That was McCutchen first (and so far only) hit of the day and first homer of the season. He’s still just hitting .250/.308/.361 on the year, but I would bet he winds up having another great year at the plate (unlike his 2016 season, that is).

According to Statcast, that ball left the bat at 104 MPH and reached a height of 93 feet, before traveling 391 feet and over the Green Monster in Fenway’s left field.
Even cooler, that homer was an important milestone:
