My hopes, in a word, for the 2012 Chicago Cubs is...improvement. What's yours?
I really don't even care about the record, seriously, I want a 3 dimensional understanding of what it takes a team and organization to win baseball games. I want fundamentals, I want improvement, I want hustle. At this point with some of the veterans, it boils down to this, they: 1. Don't know 2. Don't care 3. Don't want to or 4. Don't give a shit. #1 we can fix the rest...they gotta go.

I agree with both words. To me, it wasn't the games we lost early on, but how we lost them that was so demoralizing. I was completely detached by the middle of May and had nothing to look forward to while cutting hay...nothing better than making hay while listening to a ballgame. Genuine family tradition out here.

Agree with Chris, just be watchable. Give me a team with veteran players that care (like Pena and Byrd) mixed with young players that are exciting (Castro, ??Prince??) and let me dream about the future.

I like Ardbeg for scotch, and Woodford Reserve for bourbon. Hope that helps.

Ardberg tastes like motor oil I prefer Islay. I'm more a Sailor Jerry person. Gotta go for the more reasonably priced stuff because I'm feeling I'm going to need it injected intravenously to get through this year

I'll be doing rum straight from the bottle to make it through the 2012 season...makes me feel like a pirate.
And that's a bad miss...
