The Cubs were the dominate team in all of baseball in the beginning.
1st team to be in the series back to back, 1906,1907.
1st team to be in 3 in a row 06,07,08.
1st team to be repeat champions 07,08.
They were even better before we called it a world series.

The Chicago Cubs are the only professional sports team in history to never have a loosing record.
I am talking all time record from the time they started playing. They have always had a record of more wins than loses.

Cubs win title
1880
1881
1882
championship of sorts started in 1885..
1885 Cubs win pennant and tie for champs
1886 Cubs win championship
championship changed name to Worl Series...
1906 Cubs loose to White sox in WS
1907 Cubs win World Series
1908 Cubs win World Series
1908 Cubs win world series
the rest we are in the world series, just can't get a win...
1910
1918
1929
1932
1938
1945
That is pretty impresive, and those scorecards are quite pricey
now lets start another roll!!

I don't want to be the one to make the obvious comment, but how many people are alive today that have seen the Cubs win for any extended period? I'd say not many. It will be nice when we can make these claims about our Cubs because of something that they did in the last half century, won't it?"a lot of people today are not aware of just how good the Cubs used to be."
