a lot of people today are not aware of just how good the Cubs used to be.
The Cubs were the dominate team in all of baseball in the beginning.
1st team to be in the series back to back, 1906,1907.
1st team to be in 3 in a row 06,07,08.
1st team to be repeat champions 07,08.
They were even better before we called it a world series.

a little piece of fun trivia for you....
The Chicago Cubs are the only professional sports team in history to never have a loosing record.
I am talking all time record from the time they started playing. They have always had a record of more wins than loses.

championship of sorts started in 1885..

championship changed name to Worl Series...

I don't want to be the one to make the obvious comment, but how many people are alive today that have seen the Cubs win for any extended period? I'd say not many. It will be nice when we can make these claims about our Cubs because of something that they did in the last half century, won't it?"a lot of people today are not aware of just how good the Cubs used to be."

I would love to one day say I am a Cubs fan and the first thing out of someone's mouth not be when is the last time you guys won a WS? Especially living here in the STL all I hear about is the Cardinals and how much better they are than the Cubs.
Can wait til a few season once Theo and Co. get this all turned around and I can start talking crap to people and my team will actually be able to back it up!
