1. Trade Soriano for anything I could get.
2. Exact same for Zambrano.
3. I would look to trade Byrd and Marmol
4. In FA I would pursue Prince Fielder, CJ Wilson, Brandon Phillips (IF HE OPTS OUT OF HIS CONTRACT), Johnny Damon (.260/14/61/.361) but only for the right price, and Roy Oswalt ( IF HE OPTS OUT)
5. I would bring back Aramis, if the team doesn't look competitive coming into spring training then I would attempt to trade him for rebuilding pieces
6. If I was unable to sign Fielder I would put Soto or Colvin at 1st which opens up roster spots for Castillo and for Campana/Lahair
7. Also Pena would be gone at the end of the season
Lineup:
1. Castro SS
2. Jackson/Campana CF
3. Phillips/Barney/Lemahieu 2B
4. Fielder/Soto/Colvin/LaHair 1B
5. Ramirez/DeWitt/Lemahieu/LaHair* 3B
6. Soto/Castillo C
7. Damon/ LaHair LF
8. Colvin RF
Pitching Rotation
1. Oswalt
2. Wilson
3. Dempster
4. Garza
5. Wells/McNutt/Cashner
CL: Marshall
SU: Wood

Geo at 1B is a bad idea, since even his best career numbers would be disappointing at 1B.Id rather have Geo at first and allow castillo to catch. LaHair would be a solid choice for 1st base, but id rather him in the outfied, maybe even try him out at 3rd in place of A-Ram.

Agreed. If your not gonna have Geo behind the plate, you might as well trade him for whatever you can get.
