Cubs Fact:

Wrigley Field has hosted the MLB All-Star Game in 1947, 1962, and 1990.

I think we(NL) lost in 1990....pretty sure Ryno played....former Cub Rick Rueschel(then a Giant...in more ways than one)..started that game I think

could be wrong, but I see another one comming to Wrigley soon??
I would assume there will be lots of talk as we get closer to 2014, or 2016.
i think they will try to have some big deals as they reach the 100 year aniversary. just don't know which year will be celebrated

I think with all the changes to Wrigley and with the new leadership the Cubs will try and get an All Star game in the next few years!

That would be correct. Big Daddy started for the NL. Ryno started and played 7 innings. Hawk and Shawon were there also. We also might have had Maddux there too. Ah yes the good ole days! Hopefully we have that kind of representation from the Cubbies in '14. Tom must really be pushing for the 100th anniversary party for Wrigley.

Emperor Selig and Jerry Reinsdorf have both set their dark magic on the Cubs, and won't let them host another all-star game/weekend until the stadium is improved.

2016 would be good. It would be one year after the Cubs win the WS.

Do you have any idea how crazy it will be if back to the future gets that prediction right?
