I forgot that he finished the game with a strikeout, but with that many k's, I suppose the chances were pretty high! Ahh, what a game!

Haha, that's great. I have to laugh out loud at its sheer awesomeness. I was a new Cubs fan at that time. Growing up on the south side, I was told I was a Sox fan, but it wasn't until 6th grade (which I think was Wood's rookie season, maybe his second) that I saw my first game and became a fan.

Wood pitched in my first game, Sosa hit at least one home run...we played the Expos and won, it was good.

Definitely an amazing performance! Now if someone could dig up video of Reed Johnson's amazing catch and posts it for me I'd be eternally grateful. I've scoured You Tube and I can't find it anywhere.

Robbing Prince of a grand slam was the one you were referring to?

Tommy, no I'm talking about the catch he made a few years back. I believe it was in DC against the Nationals. I remember Demp was pitching. Johnson ran like a bat out of hell, got horizontal, made the catch and hit the wall right in front of the Cubs bullpen.

I've seen many great pitching performances over the years, but for total domination, that one takes the cake.
