Castro is still making some really dumb mistakes. Like having bases loaded, a 3-0 count and swinging away. That's just dumb...or arrogant.

Or it's following the signs. I don't know how much Quade controls that part of the game, but young guys don't usually get green lights with a 3-0 count.

Maybe. Or he's just hopelessly desperate to get to 200 hits despite an ever-decreasing (to the point of a problem) OBP.

Brett, 16 games left counting today, Castro needs 13 hits....desperate now equals dumb. Yeah the kid is good, going to get better...maybe, but right now someone needs to slap him upside the head and get his attention.

I don't disagree in the least.

He should have been given regular rest after the all-star break so that this wouldn't be an issue. Now the Cubs are in a Catch 22 about resting him so he doesn't over do it and thereby not allowing him to get 200 or letting him go for it but risking his long term success. Poor mgmt just can't escape this team.

I feel good about the future. I guess that's what makes me a Cubs fan...

I'm busted.

This organization has a lot of upside potential.
