Cubs Fact:

Cubs Hall of Famer Joe Tinker stole an average of 28 bases a season and even stole home twice in one game on July 28,1910.

Tinkers to Evers to Chance.....look up the number of errors they made...it's unreal....maybe they counted them differently back then...they are in the Hall because of that poem...I think I even read that poem in school when I was little.....maybe later this summer someone will write a Castro to Barney to LaHair....

Well, that would be much better than "Castro to 3rd Row of Seats Behind First Base". That just doesn't flow.

Castro, to Barney, to LaHair
And the runners all are safe
The fans are crying, not even fair
Since the players still stand on base

Castro throws the ball
A sharp blast over LaHair's head
Runners advance again

There once was a man named LaHair,
Who gave all Cubs fans a scare.
For they looked over to first,
And their hearts nearly burst,
When they saw AAAA Bryan standing there.
