Marlon Byrd is (deservedly) an All-Star for the first time in his career, but he’ll be the sole representative from the Chicago Cubs this year.
It is, of course, hard to find All-Stars on this flawed club, but it’s hard to see how Carlos Marmol didn’t get the nod. He’s got a 2.13 ERA, and he’s struck out an insane 69 batters in just 38 innings (a record pace). How is that not an All-Star?
