Even if you’re counting Spring Training games (not started yet), and even if you’re counting non-professional games, we’re extremely early in the baseball year.
And yet … we already have a very serious contender for bat flip of the year:

JC Millan is a sophomore on the Broward College baseball team, and, as you can see, a black belt bat-flipper.
You can tell that the ball was absolutely smoked – which is not something you can plan for in advance – and yet the smoothness with which Millan flips his bat immediately on recoil makes it look like he totally planned this. Heck, even if he did, it’s a thing of beauty to watch. The speed, the fluidity, the height, the distance.
But I don’t think he planned it. I think he crushed a ball, and then just let the baseball fun flow.
