Five players who are listed as starters on the Chicago Bears’ depth chart are listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Running back Jordan Howard (shoulder), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (pinkie finger), left guard Kyle Long (ankle), outside linebacker Leonard Floyd (back), and cornerback Prince Amukamara (ankle) were among the players listed by the Bears as questionable to play in Sunday’s game. Joining the group are reserve linebacker Christian Jones (back), safety Deon Bush (hamstring) and receiver Josh Bellamy (ankle).

Floyd’s injury is the newest, though radio play-by-play man Jeff Joniak tweets the Bears wanted to rest Floyd on Friday because the injury was bothering him. For what it’s worth, Floyd tells Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune he expects to play. Meanwhile, Kyle Long tells Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times he is getting “closer and closer” to returning to the starting lineup. Tom Compton started at left guard in place of Long in Week 1, keeping center Cody Whitehair at a position he thrived in as a rookie in 2016.
Earlier in the week, head coach John Fox didn’t seem concerned with Howard’s shoulder injury and doesn’t seem to have moved off that stance since.
In total, the Bears had eight players who were listed as limited participants in Friday’s practice. Running back Benny Cunningham (ankle) was the only player listed as doubtful.
