Cubs Trivia:

Can you name the Cubs great who hit the "Homer in the Gloamin'" in 1938?

I really should have let someone else have a shot at this one....

I have a 1933 Goudey Baseball Card of Gaby...very cool when you have a card that old...to think some kid bought it in the 1930's and now its in my sports den in a plastic holder...

and what's cool about the Goudey cards is on ebay you can find some ungraded and possibly cash in....

example: I bought an ungraded Pie Traynor card for $70 bucks because I could tell it was in pretty good condition....I had it graded....it came back a PSA 5 which means it books around $280...now if I choose to sell it, I might not get 280...but I will get alot more than $70....

I have a scorecard from this game , also have a ball autographed by Mace Brown that says "I threw the Homer in the Gloamin 38", the original Chicago newspaper from the next day, photos from the game, and a catchers mitt store brand with fake Gabby signature stamp on it. I guess you could say, I'm a big fan of this day. I can only imagine what it would have been like being there

I think they retired the term "gloamin" after that day
