This is simply to brag about my little brother. Longest snowmachine race in the world. Wasilla (Sarah Palin....ugh....) to Nome to Fairbanks. Over 2,000 miles. Team #39.

He took a swim in some freezing water today, so they took their mandatory layover early, but they were in the lead when it happened.

And one of the local TV stations did a little interview with him. He's a cancer survivor. Was on the verge of being a pro motocross racer before he got sick. I make a sweet cameo in a photo with both my bro's from my wedding. Check it out. Very proud of him!

Send him some good vibes. He and Tyler are as fast as they get.

That's pretty cool. I always thought people who could swim in ice cold water must have balls made of some mythical material. Good luck to your brother.

Woke up to see them in 1st place today. Pretty excited. Tracking their location on the GPS map all day. The GPS pinged them going over 90mph yesterday.

I'm just following them on this site here

http://app.ionearth.com/2012/irondog

GPS pings about every five minutes. They're on an 8 hour layover right now. Waiting to hear if they took it now because of machine problems or strategy (they prefer riding at night).

They had mechanical issues and were forced to turn around and eventually scratch. Heartbreaking. Fastest team between most checkpoints. We'll get the win next year. Either way, a very proud big brother, right here.

Reminds me of baseball, once the Cubs are out of conention, I keep my interest in the game by rooting against they Yankees. In this case, Todd Palin (husband of Sarah Palin) represents the Yankees.

Is he chasing John Mccain with a couple of his drinking buddies on snow machines again?
