I'm officially declaring myself the Pittsburgh Pirates of the BN fantasy league. I am confident in my ability to have a losing record for the better part of two straight decades.

In honor of our fantasy draft, even though it's a list for fantasy football, it still applies here. I wonder how many of these we will have in our league.

I'm assuming the league is full at this point? If by any chance there's still an open spot, I'd like to join.

So the draft is over and only took 2.5 hours (not bad for a 24 team league), but the results are scary. I drafted heavy with pitching to start but my offense is rather pathetic, but I do have a starting staff of Justin V, King Felix, and Adam W with bullpen of Kerry Wood, David Robertson, and Jonathan Papelbon. I did get Eric Hosmer and Chase Headley at the corners but outside of that its kinda of sad.

I went into the draft with a master plan that involved taking Jesus Montero early, Bryce Harper way too early, and Mike Trout insanely early.

Harper went off the board 3 rounds before I thought he would, Montero 2 rounds, and I never saw when Trout vanished. He just suddenly wasn't there anymore.

I did come out of it with an awesome 2014 rotation, though.

I think I did all right. My team is pretty old though. Drafted Torii Hunter in the hopes that hitting behind Pujols will be good for his stats. I can't believe how early some prospects went. It will be interesting to see if they pan out. Just thought they went super high.

Yeah the prospects disappeared quickly, I had a plan similar to Luke but I was really surprised how many starters dropped late into the first and second rounds.

Not to mention I had no fucking clue who good prospects were. The ones I researched went too fast. It will suck for people if they don't make it to the majors.

Couple of important topics over on the BNFL message board: waivers and lineup locking. Head over when you get a chance.
