The Cubs won the one game this series that they were expected to win – can’t you see the slogan now? Chicago Cubs: doing the minimum that you’d expect, since 1908! – and it was the team’s first “blowout” win, to boot. After a 53-minute rain delay, the Cubs came out and actually scored with the bases loaded; actually got hits with men on base; actually won the game after out-hitting their opponent; actually got production from Koyie Hill!
And Hill probably deserves the enhancement, given how much I dump on him, but…
