Is it me or does it just tick you off to no end too? To not let them wear those hats was just a idiotic decision and whoever made that decision should be fired and banned from anything dealing with sports in my opinion.

It's very upsetting, and, while I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, I just can't see it here.
I suspect there were contracts at issue (e.g., between MLB and New Era, and if MLB had allowed the Mets not to wear the specifically-licensed commemorative caps, MLB would have breached their contract), and MLB decided not to risk a financial hit.
Sounds shameful to me.

But even then, if you can't spend a little money to show your patriotism, then they need to be very ashamed of themselves. They have the money to do it. Though we should show patriotism the same everyday, that day of all days should have been the example to.
And what I really love is that the NFL who always denies the stuff let it happen this year. But my main issue with this is that a player on the Mets tweeted that they were still going to wear the hats and pay the fines or whatever happened, but THEY WERE PHYSICALLY REMOVED FROM THEM!!! Now that is stepping WAY over the line.
