Okay, so the draft is done and now I'm wondering what's next? I'm totally new to this process. Do we choose what players we're using at the beginning of the week? Can we change them mid week?

A lot of leagues allow day to day changes, but I guess the consensus is for this league that rosters will have to be set at the beginning of each week - so no mid week changes. So you'll have to look at off days for the week, and try to optimize the number of days they play and avoid off days. Same goes for pitchers. Check the matchups and look at who is starting. Try to slide in guys that are going to get two starts in a given week because then they will hopefully net you more stats.

Katie just reach out to us for that first week, you get the hang of it quickly. The biggest thing is to look for pitchers with two start. Outside of that it's about making sure your benching players who are on the 15/30 day DL.

Over the course of the week, your players earn you points based on what they do in their real games. At the end of the week, all your points are added up, and all of the points earned by your opponent are added up. High score wins.

If you win your first week match up, you'd have a record of 1-0. And so on. That record is what decides who gets into the playoffs. If you win your division or earn a wild card (based on record) you go into the playoffs. The playoffs are a single elimination tournament (NCAA basketball style) consisting of week long head to head match ups, just like the regular season.

Before the real baseball regular season is over, our fantasy league will have it's winner.

Okay, I'm not seeing in the rules how many players we can use each week. For instance, since I have Coco Crisp & he's playing today, unless I bench him or put him on the DL he's in, right?
I put Vogelsong on the DL and put on of my reserves in. How many starters are we limited to each week?

Again, sorry for the dumb questions. None of my friends have used Fleaflicker or done a head to head before so they are no help!

I thought I typed a response to this but it didn't post for whatever reason.

So 5 bench players every week. Do we have to play someone at each position? For instance, could I have two 2B starting and no 3B?

Yes you must play a C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B eligible player every week and 3 OF (does not matter which OF spot their eligible). Plus a full pitching lineup. So no you cannot have two 2B on no 3B player. You do have a utility player that any batter can be placed in (basically a DH) so if you have two 2B players you want to start you can do it that way, but you must have a 3B player starting.

This is why a player that is eligible for multiple positions is huge.

Goat, you are very patient with me. I swear I'll get it at some point, but for now it's a little frustrating.
I think I read that we have to have our lineups set for the week by Sunday, correct? What time? Are we stuck for the whole week if we have a player on the DL?
