I’m not sure where this offensive game plan has been hiding all year, but I’m glad the Chicago Bears’ coaching staff unearthed it on Sunday.
Jordan Howard passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark earlier and celebrated in due time, scoring a touchdown that gave the Bears their first game scoring more than 28 points since 2015. This is what it looked like as Howard extended the ball across the plane before his knee hit the ground to extend the team’s lead:

It’s all part of a 23-rush, 147-yard, two-touchdown day for the second-year back from Indiana. This has been a productive day for Howard, who became the first Bears running back to post consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons in his first two seasons. That’s an impressive stat considering the storied history of Chicago running backs.
And because Tarik Cohen doesn’t want to be left out of the fun, here is a little bit of Wildcat action to get the juices flowing:

A productive balanced attack from the Bears offense has been a long time coming. Chicago has rushed for 223 yards on 31 attempts, and quarterback Mitch Trubisky has thrown for 271 yards and a touchdown, posting an impressive 112.4 passer rating in the process.
For an offense that has sputtered for much of the season, this is a sight for sore eyes.
