It's an early game today, so why not zone out at work and unleash your fury on the game thread? Maybe Samardzija will give us something to be excited about.

I'm so very excited about a 9:40 AM game. I'll be crabby by the time lunch rolls around.

Living on the West Coast has to be so weird for sports. Football games at like 9 or 10 am? Cubs games in the late morning? Just whacky. But, then again, as a morning person who likes to get to bed at an absurdly early hour, I could get into it.

Just think of all of the tailgating though. When I lived in the Eastern time zone, I hated Sundays for the 1 PM NFL kickoffs.

It took me YEARS to adjust to Bears games at 10AM. But, I do have to admit, the early, afternoon, and then the evening football games all being over by 9PM does give you a little bit of time to sober up before bed.

If you can take a bat to a ball, you might be useful in the outfield.

It's really unfortunate that it's April 19th and the biggest goal of the team is just to not get swept.
