A lefty pitcher coming in ahead of two lefty hitters? Who could have expected that to happen?

"uh-huh-huh-uh uh-huh-huh...You said 'Choate.'

Don't look now, but our $136 million dollar clean-up hitter is batting under .250 and has 0 home runs.

...and doesn't know when to throw to the plate or to second base.

Things I've learned...there are about 9 commercials recycled for every Cubs broadcast on WGN America. Dueling ads declaring that WGN America has filled out in all the right places and that WGN America is good, very good, along w/ the other one that pitches their shows. AFLAC and Bud Light (Wego, the dog) both send my Pugs into a frenzy. That's kinda been the highlight of my watching baseball on WGN this year so far - seeing them go crazy watching the animals on the screen during half-inning breaks & pitching changes.

I knew this would be a long season. I know there's promise for brighter days ahead. But for the present, this is what it is. And the Cubs are on pace to win 37 games this year.

Anyone else hoping that a sharp foul ball bursts that fish tank?

Shawn Camp keeping the team in the game. I'm kinda hoping we get to the 9th so they can bring in Heath Bell. Then one of 2 things will happen:
1) We'll help him return to his form from last season, that is to say, dominant.

2) Maybe he'll keep sucking so that we don't get swept.

My money is on #1 but here's hoping.
