Castro’s time in Chicago was so marked by ups and downs, and unfair criticism about the things people hoped he would be, rather than simple acknowledgements of what he was. Through two games with the Yankees, Castro is hitting .625/.625/1.250 with seven RBI. He didn’t reach seven RBI last year with the Cubs until the fourth week of April. Further, those seven RBI are the most by any Yankee in history in his first two games with the team. Wow.
Good for Castro. I sincerely hope he continues to have great success with the Yankees, even as watching it will sting me ever so slightly.
