Is Rickett's paying off the umps this year? We have gotten some calls to go our way. It looked like he was out on that one.

Pat and Keith saying it looked good. All I have to go on...

Garza looks good, Phillies go down easy after Rollins lead off single. Man this place is empty today.

Start winning and they will come.

That's not how Cubs fans operate.

Some of them do, though ...

I reckon there's a name for them.

White Sox fans?

I'm not a "small ball" guy by trade, but I *really* enjoyed that run right there.

Truthfully, I was not impressed with Starlin's approach on that Sac Fly. We got lucky that it was Campana. He's the only one who could have scored on that play.

Ball beat him, but Schneider didn't block the plate or get the tag on the front side of Tony. Right call, good slide by Tony.

Haha. I meant more like, casual, bandwagonny fans. But, yeah, them, too.

Well the ball definitely beat him there. His foot did seem to maybe get in there but I don't think Cubs could have argued much if call went the other way.

Only one they would send on that shallow SF.

Anyone else noticing that this team is getting good on basepaths: stealing, moving runners, taking advantage of mistakes? I'm impressed.

Right on. I try to do this for as many games as I can. Sometimes I'm having to do "family" stuff while I watch the game, though...

That was a great inning for Garza, obviously, but hopefully he can keep it under control.

(And by "it," I mean his Hulk-like tendency that bubbles up from within when he gets excited.)
