I've seen another, cooler, version of this but I don't recall where it was.

The real trippy thing about aliens (the numbers say they have to exist) is that somewhere, on some distant planet, someone is having this same discussion.

I was watching a Nova episode recently and they said that due to the multi-verse theory, there is someone somewhere out there that is an exact copy of me that is typing this same exact thing at the same exact moment. Also, there is a universe where the Cubs tore down Wrigley the day Ricketts bought the team, there is a place where the Cubs are owned by me, by Mark Cuban and by Adolf Hitler. But there is not a universe where the Cubs have won the World Series in the past 100 earth years.

I do believe intelligent life exists elsewhere and I do not dismiss the possibility that they have visited Earth. If life can live off Arsenic, life can develop intelligence. I just hope they have figured out a way to rid their civilizations of the Kardashians, Lady Gaga, and signing talent search shows.
