The pessimist would look at Daytona’s loss last night and think that, now that they are down 0-2, the High A Cubs are probably not going to win their second consecutive Florida State League title.
The optimist, on the other hand, would be busy getting ready for Daytona’s epic three game winning streak to stun Fort Myers and claim the title.
As for me, I think if Daytona can get their bats going again they have a chance. Unfortunately, this FSL Championship Series is looking a lot like last years, only with the D-Cubs on the wrong end of the dominant pitching performances.
Scores From Yesterday
Daytona – The Cubs were shutout, 5-0.
Kane County – Kane County had the day off.
Performances of Note
[Daytona] Gioskar Amaya doubled for the 4th straight playoff game as he put together his 3rd straight multi-hit game.
[Daytona] Wes Darvill (with a double) and Marco Hernandez also enjoyed multi-hit games.
