Far be it from me to drag you out of your grousing about the crapbox that was the 2010 Chicago Cubs’ season. However, if you’re ready to start thinking about 2011, and can muster some excitement (and cash), tickets for the 2011 Chicago Cubs Convention are going on sale next week.
Weekend passes for the 26th annual Cubs Convention will go on sale Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. CDT.
The Cubs Convention will be held Jan. 14-16, 2011, at the Hilton Chicago, 720 South Michigan Ave., Chicago. Passes will be available for purchase by visiting www.cubs.com or by calling 1-800-THE-CUBS.
Fans can purchase up to four weekend passes per person while they last. Each weekend pass is $60 plus convenience fees, with proceeds benefiting Chicago Cubs Charities. Passes include access to all autograph/photo opportunities, question and answer sessions, memorabilia and vendor booths, as well as interactive areas. Muskat Ramblings.
This, my friends, is your chance; your chance to be a part of history when Jim Hendry announces and introduces the Cubs’ big acquisition of the offseason: aging infielder Melvin Mora.
