Hey Hey, I'm loving the better-than-average Soriano this year. Great catch.

While in between innings, what are everyone's thoughts on the long-run idea of keeping Rizzo and LaHair? I personally could see the two of them hitting either 3-4 or 4-5 in the line up 5 years from now when we are WS contenders. unless there is another prospect with more upside that im not familiar with

I think that assumes LaHair can keep this up. I hope he can. I'm in favor of moving LaHair to LF as long as he can cut it in that position. There's still the issue of what to do with Soriano though. We have him through '14.

one thing that bothers me is that soriano has to start cuz of his contract, it is a HUGE waste of money whether he's on the bench or starting, get the best player in the game!

Some have mentioned trading LaHair. I can't fathom why the Cubs would do anything but find a spot for his bat, in LF or RF or 3B or C or SS for all I care. He's already doing what they want Rizzo to do, and what nobody else seems to be able to do these days: hit.

Second thought: Soriano seems like he makes "circus" catches on plays other fielders consider routine. But it's whatever. Trade him. Now.

I don't know what I love more about Shark, his late movement or his fearless attitude.

Samardzija is the best story of this young season! So much better to see a successful Cub that is homegrown rather than traded for. excited to see the young talent develp over the year!

Hey Brett, make sure Luke gets the note: I love it when they give the minor league report on WGN/Comcast and I already know the information (and more). That's evidence of great work, and I hope he (and you) both know it.

Here's something to turn your skin white: It's the bottom of the eighth, if the Cubs get through this and don't score in the ninth, Marmol will come in for a save situation.....Boo!

Dolis up [n pen.

Likely as backup for Shark. I doubt they'd have him warming up now for the ninth.
