Yowza! The Saints continue to get their wrists SMASHED, PUMMELED and MUTILATED! More supensions handed out...
They will soon be once again referred to as the 'Aints!
I think it's great that they are being penalized for having their "bounty system." Career ending injuries and worse are definitely more possible with that sort of thing going on... just no excuse for that type of activity.
With that said, isn't it likely that some form of that is happening on other teams... perhaps a LOT of other teams?

If there was a death penalty in the NFL (similar to what the NCAA did to Southern Methodist in the 80s) there would be no better case than this. They've been out of control and embarrassing the league for a couple years. First it was the whole fiasco with coaches stealing painkillers. Then the bounties. Now it's been alleged that the General Manager wiretapped other teams during games. If the last one is true, I could see them getting a punishment very similar to that levied on the Patriots for Spygate ON TOP of what has already happened.
