One of the cool things about baseball that people don't appreciate is that every game you can see something historic. On the MLB network I just watched Oriole 1B/DH Chris Davis throw two scoreless innings against the Red Sox to become the first postion player to get a win in the AL since Rocky Colavito in 1968. 44 years.

Loved the look on Bobby V's face when he whiffed Gonzalez with two guys on and then got Darnell McDonald to hit into a game ending DP.

I will have to update the BTDB standings soon.

I started watching it on mlb.tv in the 14th. Great game. Davis had some filthy offspeed stuff. Knuckle-change they were calling it. Darnell was just throwing batting practice.

No big suprise on Davis. He was a solid college pitcher, low 90's fastball and decent split.

Gonzalez for Boston was 0-8 lol. Interestingly, Chris Davis for the O's was 0-8 with 5 K's at the plate for the day. Oh, and Marlon Byrd was thrown out at the plate trying to score the game winning run in the 16th.

That play at the plate was awesome.
