Wondered when they would start pitching around LaHair.

Soriano strikes out with a man on base? No way!

(At least it wasn't a double play.)

How come we talk about defense being learned and something that improves when we discuss Castro--at perhaps the premier defensive position in the game--but naysayers talk about LaHair's defense? His defense isn't bad. Especially in relation to a Cubs team that continues to put Soriano in left field, despite Alfonso lacking almost all of LaHair's production.

I know Soto said he lost a bunch of weight in the offseason, but I just don't see it.

Well, to be fair, Castro's 22, and LaHair is 29. Castro is more likely to improve. LaHair's defense, to me, looks weak at first. And I'm being charitable because I like him.

The Cubs don't want to say it but that's what really happened to Clevenger's rib--Soto ate it. Hey, Steve was standing too close to the buffet table on BBQ day, that's his own fault.

If nothing else we are running up the pitch count. Gotta love that.

How, after fouling off borderline pitch after definite ball after borderline pitch does Geo decide to let that one go by!? Protect the fucking plate man!

Did Soto's actually do some good by striking out and telling the ump to make sure he gives that call to the Cubs too?
