You should pick me because I just graduated college and what better way to usher in my newfound unemployment than by spending time in the bleachers. I'm a fun lively guy and I talk baseball with the best of them. Also I'm Korean and there aren't enough asian cub fans.

I'm not saying that the Cubs will win the World Series if you pick me to go to this game with you, but it definitely can't hurt so why risk it? 1908 is a long time to go without a title, is now really the time to be playing russian roulette with the fate of the team!? I think not. Also, I'm in law school and my last final is that Wednesday, Brett you know how miserable that is cut me some slack, I'm probably going to fail Constitutional Law because I am worrying about this contest and not outlining. Think about all the interesting conversations we could have, one minute talking about the advantages of a hit-and-run with one out man on first, the next using words like res ipsa loquitor and other latin phrases I am still unsure about their meaning to impress the fans around us. Finally, I am never opposed to tipping back an Old Style or 12 and watching the greatest baseball team in the world at the greatest stadium ever constructed. So to quickly summarize my points again, World Series, great conversation, beer; what more could you ask for from a companion?

Because I have keys to the oldest bar in Wrigleyville. And will trade beverages for a ticket. Confident that's the best proposal you'll get.

Hi Pat! I'm the same Meredith from Jack Spade. Damn Wrigleyville and Bleacher Nation is a small place...

Why I should go:
1) My wife would be PISSED.
2) I have several meetings scheduled for that day I would have to either cancel, reschedule or find a fill in.
3) Money is currently tight so even just the gas and coffee to keep me awake driving home to Iowa the same night would be too much money.
4) I have been told I can, with some effort, actually smell quite fresh.
5) Old Lady would be SO PISSED.
6) I have to take a PT test Saturday so that would be pretty fun to exhaust myself Thursday night and use that as an excuse for failing rather than my sloth behavior since last October.
7) Not really a big fan of drinking sooooo you would not get that super fun experience.
8) Might just go all "Kissing Bandit" on David DeJesus. (Not gay, but I really don't think you have to be to notice how damn pretty the man is.)
9) You could earn a medal for supporting members of military.
10) Did I mention how angry my wife would be?
11) Throw the HR back? Dude, there are no phillie HRs.
12) I'm very interesting, even by Iowa standards.
13) Ah, shit! My wife is coming!

Come on Brettzilla! Get Pete away from the ball and chain for a few hours!

I like these "I need a friend" posts. Hopefully extra tickets are here to stay at Bleacher Nation.

Maybe one of these days I'll throw my name into the hat... life's too crazy right now for a pick-up-and-go.

I quit my job so I would fit in with all the "dumb 15 motherfuckin' percent [of unemployed people] that come out to day baseball"

So who won?

It was very close between a handful of runners up (Stinky Pete won, but couldn't make the game). Rob won it this time by the slightest of margins.
