Holy shit, did the Slumpbusters kick the shit out of everyone this week. RickVaughn99, everyone

This week, Josh Hamilton simply Hamilton'd the everJoshing Hamilton out of every Josh darn pitch he saw. Hamilton smacked NINE dingers this week, with like 18 RBI and 11 runs scored. I don't remember the exact score, but they guy I shat on in a 5x5 league could probably tell you about Hamilton's week down to the speed of the pitches he saw.

Carlos Beltran also had a huge week, and is quietly mashing in St Louis. I don't understand why New Yorkers never liked him, cause outside of the uniforms hes donned throughout his career I really like him as a player.

Carlos Zambrano was also good, but before you all shit your pants and trade away CarGo and Strasburg for him, it should be noted that his FIP on the season is like 5. That luck is gonna run out soon, folks. To those in Miami, hide yo catchers, hide yo gatorade coolers, cause Carlos is about to get blown out of the water.

There's a fun trend for those guys mentioned above....they're all owned by Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn. This may be one of the most dominating weeks we see in the rest of this league's future, let alone this year. Those 3 combined for 407 points, or more than 65% of your sorry asses. The rest of his team scored 436.25, which, I'm pretty sure, is more than The Infirmary has put up all year.

As this was a week of non-divisional games, there aren't a whole ton of other story lines. Everything is overshawdowed by the unholy beatdown the Slumpbusters laid upon The Infirmary.

Best 3 Teams of the Week
  • Slumpbusters, EIGHT-HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE POINT TWENTY-FIVE
  • Cubbie Blues, 519.25
  • The Waving Wendells. 499.5
Worst 3 Teams of the Week
  • The Infirmary, 213.75
  • Baseblog Bloggers, 263.75
  • Lovable winners, 294.5
Best 3 Hitters of the Week
  • Josh Hamilton Slumpbusters, 172 (!!!)
  • Carlos Beltran, Slumpbusters, 132
  • Dustin Pedroia, Han's First Shot, 93
Worst 3 Hitters of the Week
  • Tyler Greene, Waveland Ave Ball Hawks, -5
  • JD Martinez, 19ohWait, -5
  • Dayan Viciedo, Bunt Competition Champs 2012, -1
Best 3 Pitchers of the Week
  • Big Z, Slumpbusters, 103 (seriously, how did you not break 1000?)
  • Justin Verlander, Michigan Banhammers, 82
  • Neftali Feliz, Stinky Pete, 78
Worst 3 Pitchers of the Week
  • Kyle Kendrick, 19ohWait, -19
  • Joe Saunders, The Snicklefritz, -18
  • Bartolo Colon, Han's First Shot, -16
Closest Matchup: The Cubs Way!! (363.25) over 104 and Counting (345.25)
Biggest Blowout: Slumpusters (843.25) over The Infirmary (213.75) by a whopping 619.5 pts, a number that would be the third highest point total this year
Strongest Loss: PatandRons (437.5)
Weakest Win: Toxic Cubbies (346)

Also, I plan on making the power rankings a biweekly fortnightly (two side notes: biweekly means both once every other week and twice a week. Thats a terrible double-used word....and seriously, how sweet is the word "fortnightly"? Really freakin sweet. And if you disagree on that point, I'll dock you 5 spots in the power rankings)

Ok, so, back on track: Fortnightly power rankings, with a new component of "last two weeks points" since that how all the power rankings seem to do it, seeing as the Orioles are #1 in a ton of power rankings (which, like, I know they dont mean jack shit, but really? (Also, to the person who asked about the breakdown thing, it goes like this: its as if you had 23 matchups per week, and it takes your record of that, and the component is just the overall record)

Your fortnightly PowerRankings are calculated like a BCS poll. The four "ballots" are rankings of overall record, overall points, points in last two weeks, and a rank of your record if you played everyteam everyweek. They are here to inspire hatred and contempt of your fellow man. Remember, nothing will ever be as important as where you rank in this poll.

BNFL Power Ranking:

1. Slumpbusters (who has the highest rank in all components of this poll. Jeebus)
2. Camp Campana
3. Six States
4. Hansman Cubs
5. The Snicklefritz
6. Cubbie Blues
7. Waving Wendells
8. Han's First Shot
9. Bunt Competition Champs 2012
10. Toxic Cubbies
11th (but first in our hearts) The Michigan Banhammers
12. 104 and Counting
13. The Stalingrad Hammer
14. The Cubs Way!!
15. 23ryan
16. Stinky Pete
17. Waveland Ave Ball Hawks
18. 19ohWait
19. PatandRons
20. Tainted Glove
21. Baseblog Bloggers
22. Lovable Winners
23. The Exploding Meth Labs
24. The Infirmary

My team is just really pissing me off, outside of Adam Jones my offense is fucking pathetic. Eric Hosmer is doing about as good as Felix Pie (and I don't think he's even playing). I had two starts from Just V and King Felix this week and I still lost. WTF I'm about to BanHammer myself. Fuckety Fuck Fuck, I'm going salk Z crazy and want to smash something. I'm serious starting to wonder if I should punt the season trade my staff for draft picks next year. I guess my plan to build a team around pitching was fucking stupid.

Oh Goat, fear not. You're up against me this week and that's the magic elixir for any team. You'll be fine.

I'm worried my offense is horrible, I don't have any starters that are impressing me right now and my bullpen is killing me. You put up great points each week but have had horrible luck. My team is miserably unbalanced. Until Hosmer wakes up my team is at best .500 and that's not going to cut it long term.

My ace pitcher, Haren, got me -10 points last week and my SS got me 0! My best pitcher is Capuano? WTF!

Never looked at it but there are only 7 teams with a winning record. I feel like I'm in the AL East winning at a .667 clip and in still 3rd place. (Not trying to be woe is me.)

You're still in the playoffs.

Granted, you're in the play-in game that decides who gets to be the sacrificial lamb slaughtered by the voracious juggernaut that is Slumpbusters, but you are in the playoffs.
