I know that bunt worked out, but it was almost an identical double play to the 8th inning. Without the Cardinals' error, I would have been calling for Sveum's head (probably not, but I would have done my best Desi Arnaz impression and say, "Daley, you gots some 'splainin to do!"

Oh and I guess bunting is better than strikeouts from the 7-9 hitters. Castro was a bad call (him not running is on him) but whatever works.

Why are we doing nothing but bunting.

Dale's genius plan

As much as I am annoyed by it, they are still scoring runs and winning. So it is successful I guess.

Thats what Dale will tell ya.

Last year there is no way they would have been that aggressive on the bases and scored on that.

Last year, Ivan DeJesus would have waived them all to certain death as soon as they rounded first.

He only did that when they were going to be out by a mile. If they could go in standing up he always held them at 3rd.

I agree. Maybe he saw after the drop that the cards were started to get worn out and were likely to make an error. They have been really sloppy the last few innings.

Count yet another instance of a runner on third with one out and not a run scored. Ridiculous. What other team in baseball is that bad at producing sac flies. That should be an automatic run scored.

Not sure you waste Mather there to attempt a sac bunt, why not use a starting pitcher (other than garza). Oh well, thanks to the over agressive third baseman not sure we score without that.

Yea god that dude was awful. Listach has made his fair share of miss calls but he seems to do a much better job most days.

Tony Campana has THE WORST fucking at bats with runners in scoring position. He's the anti-clutch.

Agreed he hits like shit with RISP. If he gets on 2nd I think he scores like 90% of the time though which is nice.
