I really don't mind Sveum going to Kerry in that spot at all. Who else was he supposed to put in there? It was the right move, Kerry just has got to stop walking people and he will be fine.

Anyone notice when he stopped throwing a cutter every pitch, the inning got WAY better for him. Once in a while its fine but mix your pitches and trust your stuff Kerry!! That is my only message for you. (as if he would actually hear that but its what I would like him to hear)

Glad for the DP, but ... so very disappointed in Kerry. Of course, if he gets that strike three call on Holiday, he gets out of the inning with no damage, likely.

i NEVER thought i would rather see nearly anyone else besides Kerry Wood. Too bad the Cubs think they have a talented pitcher in Castillo. Why not let him pitch to see if he is any good or send him back ti PHI!!!!!!!! They need pitcher who get the ball over the plate.

"and the leadoff walk is coming back to haunt Kerry"

No fucking shit, Len. Please tell me how you thought it was going to turn out. Is the sky blue and are bricks heavy too, Len?

Stats are on Lens side. Lead off walks score in the high 70', % of the time

I agree with those who say Dale isn't to blame for that Wood inning - he can only use the guys in his bullpen, and you can't survive with just three pitchers out there (Camp, Russell, Dolis). Have to use other guys. The problem is the construction of the pen, not the use.

I got a bad feeling about Russell. He has been so good but he's going to give something up some time right? I hope I'm wrong.

you know Sveum did not want to go to Kerry there but had little choice, Especially since Kerry is BFF with ownership

Another roller coaster with Mc Dougle. Real hot or not.

I love it when Molina has quiet days. He just seems to kill us normally. We have done a good job on him today.
