Nice 3 runs, 21 pitches for Lohse.

Only 21 pitches? Seems like every inning like that for Cubs pitchers is at least 30.

Every time a Cubs hitter is out I think it's Soto, but only since Marlon Byrd was traded.

The Cubs' bats have been some kind of hot the last two games. Yesterday, the Cubs starters went 14/35, and that's not counting the hit that Lahair should've had that was called an error and the out Castro gave up at the plate, so they should've been 15/34. And today, they've started out 5/7. That makes them 20 for their last 41 for a batting average of .488!

Castillo looks better so far behind the plate.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that he is catching a soft tosser and not a Garza. It just looked like Garza's fastballs were blowing him away

anyone else bummed after watching Castillo play? Wow, he is bad at catching. He looks like an emergency catcher called to duty
