Theo was hesitant to make the Rizzo deal

How much authority does Hoyer have - you hear Theo's name in every talk about the Cubs
Bruce Levine
I believe Jed Hoyer has a tremendous amount of input on what happens with the Cubs. As a matter of fact, the trade that they made for Rizzo was aggressively pushed by Hoyer and I'm told Epstein was skeptical of the deal, not because he didn't believe in Rizzo's talent, but because he didn't want to trade a power arm in Cashner. Hoyer is no puppet.
Thoughts? I think it's interesting that Theo was hesitant to make the trade that I've seen quite a few of us call the best of this offseason.

I hope Zack Cates improves dramatically and moves up the levels accordingly.

I remember feeling pretty poor in the starting-pitching department last year.Thoughts? I think it's interesting that Theo was hesitant to make the trade that I've seen quite a few of us call the best of this offseason.

His wind-up annoyed me to no end. It was like watching a wooden roller coaster getting lurched up the first hill. Then when he finally released the ball you realized it was actually a kiddy coaster you were watching
Show some respect for Dougie Damn Davis, would you?
Can he catch? We have an opening.
