I also think Castro should start learning 3B. Too many mental mistakes and poor footwork at short. He'll think less in the hot corner and use that good glove and range more on instinct. Thoughts anyone?

Sorry all for my angry reaction to Koyie Hill. I think I've now gone through the first four stages of grief: Denial: "There's no way the Cubs signed Koyie Hill. That has to be a mistake!" Anger: "Fucking God Damn Mother Fucking Koyie Fucking Hill!" Bargaining: "I'll sell my soul for a catcher of better quality than Koyie Hill." Depression: "Oh Cubs, this is so sad. Koyie Hill is your starting catcher. We'll never be good. Never." Now, I'm finally ready to accept this unfortunate change of events and move on.

Ha at least you had a week off.

Yeah and you picked the right week to take off. The good news with the catching situation is that Clevenger should be back this weekend.

I think Castro should stay at shortstop I agree his defense has been getting better and with Clevenger coming back I think hill will survive another week until Castillo comes back

I personally think his footwork has improved greatly this year which has improved his overall defense. The throws look better and he is charging the ball more.

He loses a ton of value by moving off of short so I'd like to keep him there. His defense should continue to improve. He made a ridiculously good play last night and if he can just start making the easy ones consistently (which he has lately), he could be an elite defender. Just my 2 cents though.

Runner on second no outs. But i can almost guarantee that no one scores when the next three batters are Baker/Barney/Hill.
Hopefully I am wrong.

Can any of our catchers hit a curveball? Typical Soto AB right there. Ugly.

Yeah I'm not 100% sold on the idea of movin Castro to third, which is why I threw it out here. I still get nervous every time the ball is hit to him though. I figure if you're going to experiment, this year would be a good time to do it. But, he is only 22, which I feel remains the strongest counterpoint to that debate.
