A bit of a brew-ha-ha kicked up over some comments made by Cubs chairman Crane Kenney about the number of night games at Wrigley Field in the coming years. The Cubs have tried to play it off.
Cubs President Crane Kenney told a Rotary Club in Marco Island, Fla., on Monday that he hoped the Cubs would increase the number of night games from 30 to 50, according to a story in the Marco Island Sun Times.
But Michael Lufrano, Cubs vice president for community affairs, said at Tuesday’s meeting that there was no such plan in the short term.
“We’re not asking for anything,” Lufrano said. “We’re not looking for anything this year.” chicagotribune.com.
