TOM RICKETTS IS NOT GOOD AT THE GAME OF THRONES
Posted 24 May 2012 - 09:57 PM
Politics is a passionate topic for most people. So much so, that I am going to tread lightly around it myself. But come on Tom, did you not see the possibility of a clash between you and Chicago's Mayor over your dad's political agenda? A shrewd move(and what many smart corporations and powerful people do) would have been to head this off by playing both sides of the fence...long ago. Find candidates on both sides of the isle to give some of your hard inherited money to. You could have made Rahm and your Dad content...but now you are playing catch up and it looks and sounds silly.
"You either win the Game of Thrones or you die." Sorry, but right now Mr. Ricketts your newly severed head would be rolling down the streets of King's Landing. Perception becomes reality and right now Sports Radio is referring to you as the Michael McCaskey of baseball.
My advice to you...watch every episode of "The Sopranos" and find your inner Tony. Then watch a little "Deadwood" and model the behaviors of Seth Bullock and Al Swearingen. Then watch a little Tyrion Lannister, or Littlefinger or Cersai on Thrones. Soon you will be a-scheming and a-plotting with the best of them!
Right now you are losing. (I apologize for my blatant and shameless promotion of the HBO network)

I think the first order of business is putting his Dad in the nursing home so he quits doing shit like this and alienating Emmanuel: http://www.nytimes.c...a-campaign.html
I really hate that all this shit is coming out and it's all being attached to Tom. I understand that his dad has all the money, and is kind of a political pariah, but Tom has had almost nothing to say politically for as long as I can remember.
