There was a tweet yesterday that he was removed off the Smokies roster and told to pack his bags for a move up, but I can't seem to find the tweet today so I'm not sure if it was deleted or just buried in a swamp of posts.  On the Smokies site he is still on the roster, but the official one tends to be a day or 2 behind actual moves.

Some are saying that Bauer is overrated.  I am curious as to why some are saying that,

I was curious too and found this article that summed up a lot of his issues.  After reading it, I can see where Cleveland might be happy to package him for Garza.

I broke down and got it. Kind of funny to hear the Smokies announcer, it's a flashback to the Spring Training games.  It's a lot of fun to see the young players coming up and it keeps me excited for Cubs baseball.

In Topic: Albert Almora left the game this evening

Found the answer to this mystery.  He was pulled by the coach for failing to run out a ball to first on a pop up.  Another reason minors time is well spent.  I was at the game and didn't even really notice it myself (although I was there with family and somewhat distracted), but that answers it.  I just knew it didn't look like he was injured, and a mid-game call-up would have been odd.

As a side-note, it was the first time I saw Almora live and he was quite a bit smaller than I expected.  Still very young, but it was something that stuck out.

I also have to say like Vogelbach even more now.  He seems like such a down to earth guy, always smiling, spitting, frumpy and dirty uniform, joking with the umps.  He definitely has a personality that reminds you of John Kruk.  I'm not entirely sure his swing can make it to the bigs, but I'm pulling for him.

Just to close out this thread, this year's CWS is down to the last 14 teams but unfortunately none of the Cubs draftees are on any of those 14.  So we'll just have to wait and see our newest Cubs in the minors.
