Word is that the Tigers could have some trouble paying Scherzer.  While he may not be available to the Cubs, if we could get Peralta to play 3rd and Infante to play 2nd on one-year deals as placeholders until Baez and/or Olt are ready, that'd be great.

I was randomly searching your troll posts, and came across this!!!

You seem to be a little obsessed with me.  I'm not sure if I should be flattered or freaked out.  Just a heads up salami, I'm not gay.  No means no.

For the rest of you guys, I've been a mainstay at CBSsports.com since 2007.  Believe it or not, salami was in fact not banned from our site.  Our message boards have disbanded this April.  Ever since, he's been scrambling for a new site where he could bitch and trash the Cubs at whatever cost.  But, unfortunately for him, he's been banned from each and every site he's tried out.

To the moderators of this here site, do yourselves a favor and ban this clown right now.

Convenient that these reports of the Cubs interest in Choo have come out near the end of another total failure of a season on the field.

Despite the fact the season is still under way, and if there could be any direct reports linked to the Cubs, they would likely get nailed with tampering charges, the slurpers are already falling all over themselves, patting each other on the back with how they have been right all along about this rebuilding process completely ignoring that signing Choo would be the exact same type of signing they have whined and cried against the last two years. The major league team is worse than it was two years ago and no closer to being competitive than they were the last two seasons when the slurpers stood on their soap boxes claiming that spending money was dumb.

Typical hypocrisy.

And this report about Choo is no different than the reports of the Cubs interest in Fielder, Pujols, Sanchez, Darvish or numerous other top FA's the last few years that the Cubs never signed.

But some people are completely satisfied that the Cubs are trying as hard as possible as long as a couple reporters write an article about how much the Cubs are trying while reality has a AAA team playing for top dollar ticket prices on the field.

The voice I hear in my head when reading Salamie's stuff.

He is a Debbie Downer.  This guy has been trolling CBS for years, making sacrastic exaggerations to every minor league contract the Cubs have signed during that time frame.  He's also been banned from chicitysports as well as a couple other sites.  To the admins of this site, even though this is my first post on your boards, you have my permission to ban this clown right now.

He is completely and freakishly obsessed.
