I agree about ARod getting railroaded, and as much as I want to see him get what's due, I think 211 games is too much. 100 games sounds about right to me… With the price and contract length of free agents, do the Yankees really have it made with the fan expectation that they keep signing the top-tier guys? Besides the qualifying offer system, I think the current CBA is pretty competitive for all markets.

Great jam! First time I heard it was in "The Doors" movie when Jim Morrison (Val Kilmer) is at the Andy Warhol party. Such a raw, awesome jam.

In Topic: Girardi or Scioscia?

I voted for Girardi. I'd prefer "other" over Scioscia because he just appears to be worn whenever I see him interview, and lately it would seem his teams have underperformed pretty badly.

I like Girardi because he appears to be a smart, disciplined, logical guy. He's been through enough high pressure situations that I believe he could be a very nice steadying force as the team starts adding a few pieces to the developing core, and the weight of expectations are felt. Plus he was a Cub and I had his "starting lineup" action figure, so that's cool to me.

Cubs win!! Great game by Travis Wood. Strop pitched nicely out of the eighth, and Gregg got the ninth against a scary Dodgers lineup. Nice win!
