also would not mind Dempster returning.

I'd almost lay money there's less than zero chance of that happening.

Agreed fully. The name that scared me was Sanchez, because if I'm not mistaken, he's an old Theo guy from his days in Boston, right? Maybe part of the Hanley Ramirez deal?

Anyway, I think with so little payroll and so little starting pitching I just thought it'd be interesting to see what they maybe thinking. I'd suspect McCarthy is going to get paid, too.

Oh clearly. I mean I live here and can't listen that rube. He's almost as bad as Rosenbloom. Almost. But all he did say was that his 'source' claims Starlin likes the night life. Since I'm not a regular on either the Rush St. or Wrigleyville scene, I wouldn't have a clue.

I hope Dusty Baker jabs himself with one of his stupid toothpicks.

Well, "divorced from the facts", then. With the exception of one start in May, and his last two appearances, he's given up 3 or fewer runs and pitched through the fifth. That's 9 quality starts out of 12. I'm not really sure what people are looking for in a back-end starter other than that.

My sentiments exactly. Sometimes memory is only as long as the last start / appearance or 2. Hard to forget for 6 weeks he was one of the best starters in the NL.
