In Topic: Cheap jersey and very nice quality

A tree service company stuck an ad with their phone number on it 20 feet high on a telephone pole a couple streets over from where I live. That road is heavily travelled. Elderly lady who lives there thought she could swat it down with a broom.
I want to buy a dozen cheap phones, bring them down to the veterans center, and make an ad hoc 'boiler room' that just prank calls companies like that, tieing up their business lines and harrassing their 'employees' who take the calls: denial-of-service-revenge-attacks.
I'll probably just get a long 2x4, stand in the bed of my truck parked at the pole, and try to knock the thing down without falling into traffic. I hope they used nails and not screws.
(Maybe I just need a Goat.)

I know it's because I teethed on 20th Century Red Sox teams, but I still have hope for the Cubs-2014. (It's in my nurture.)
We so far have had only a little trouble setting the table; we have some pretty good starting pitching (with some more in AAA); Starlin seems to be getting through his chilly, delayed spring training successfully; Olt might be OLT by the time the weather warms up. Emilio's run has been fun so far.
There is lots good on this team.
We need better slugging (maybe a right handed starter could give RizzOMG a nudge).

Anyways. Bump.

Hey, Nebraska, here is one more thought to ponder. As we improve, why wouldn't you expect to strand even more Runners?

We want higher and higher OBP. More and more guys get on base and move the guy in front of him Into Scoring Position. ( And more and more guys wear down the starter ---mmmm, warn down starters and tasty middle reliever meat.) Some percentage of the runners will get knocked home; so if there are, like, a million runners in scoring position and only 10 percent get knocked in, that's still 100,000 runs.

Key to starting a big inning might just be starting it. Why didn't we just see the Cubs in the middle starting it?

Goodbye, off season. Goodbye, too many theories. Hello, Bellyfire.

Let's play ball.

I'm in. Tix might be tough, I think; but we should at least meet up.750x534_fenway_seatingA.jpg
