June road trip

21 April 2013 - 06:50 AM

My family and I are going to Wrigley for the first time in June. Yesterday, my wife agreed to go to a Kane County game, too. A little later she agreed to go back to Albuquerque via Knoxville and catch a Smokies game. Not too long after that, she agreed to stop by Pricipal park on the way to Chicago and catch an Iowa Cubs game. My wife is freaking AWESOME. We already went to Daytona this year, and now plan to make it to Boise, as well.

Add 3 birthday parties for our kids at the Albuquerque Isotopes and me catching other Minor League games while I'm on the road, and this will be an amazing baseball summer for me.

Daytona April 10th

31 March 2013 - 05:16 PM

My wife was going to take the kids to Disneyland for their spring break. I'll be in Florida, so they're flying to Orlando instead. We'll be going to the Daytona game on Wednesday April 10th. Anyone else in the area?

I may be able to go to 3 or 4 MiLB games before they arrive, too.

Now I want to go to the Smokies and Iowa before June.

First ever trip to Wrigley

06 March 2013 - 10:02 PM

For one reason or another, I've never made it to Wrigley. I just bought tickets at the presale. We have Section 121, Row 15, seats 7&8 and Section 122, seats 105, 106 & 107. I'm assuming these are all together. I tried looking at several sites and the best I can figure out is that we are in the top of those sections and the Mezzanine Suites are directly behind us. We're also going to take the Wrigley tour, but haven't decided if we want to do that on the same day or not.

We are going on June 9th vs Pittsburgh. We'll probably spend 2 1/2 days or so in Chicago, as this is wedged in between visiting family in Minneapolis and down near St Louis.

We'll have my 2 1/2 year old boy and my 12 and 10 year old daughters, my wife and me.

Any and all advice is welcome. Also, if anyone wants to meet up for a beer, I'm up for that.
