Meaningless Soriano Stat

14 September 2013 - 10:45 AM

So I was just checking how Sori was doing since I'm still kind of rooting for him and I noticed that he has 32 HR's and 18 SB's. So if he get's 2 more SB's he'll have his first 20-20 season since 2006. This is pretty awesome considering that Sori is 37 years old. I'm pretty sure Sheffield is the oldest player to get a 20-20 season. So if Sori get's 2 more SB's he might become the 2nd oldest player in MLB history to get a 20-20 season! (correct me if this is wrong) I know it's meaningless, but I think we should all be rooting for him to get there.

Dioner Navarro Opinions

30 July 2013 - 10:06 PM

I was one of the few people that thought the Navarro signing was a good one. Navarro has proven my gut right this season. All he's done is rake so far.

Now my question is why isn't he generating more interest? I mean imagine what he could do if he was starting!

So is there some flaw I'm not aware of that Navvaro has, which scares teams away? In addition in your opinion if he was traded what would be a reasonable return?

J.R. Murphy for Sori Trade Idea

18 July 2013 - 03:44 PM

I'm not usually one for trade ideas, but since the Yankees are shopping  J. R. Murphy, a 22 year old catcher who I've liked for a while in exchange  for a bat I thought Soriano  would be a fit.

Now the question's are do you guys think that the Yankees could get a better bat than Sori  since they are selling high on Murphy and do you think the  Cubs could do better than   J. R. Murphy for Sori+11 million?

The  bottom line is: do you guys think that both teams would do this deal?

2013 MLB Draft Thread

06 June 2013 - 01:04 PM

I don't know if one of these threads have ever been up, but if you want a place to vent your feelings about the draft this is it.

Who do you want the Cubs to pick in the second and later rounds of the draft?

23 May 2013 - 04:20 PM

Everybody might be talking about who to pick with the #2 pick right now, but I think the rounds besides the 1st round are just as important. Right now I want a college catcher or a high upside prep arm in the 2nd round. I would love to get Karsten Whitson on an overslot deal in the 3rd round especially if we pick a college catcher in the 2nd.

Anybody you guys would love to get after our first rounder?
