Posted by hansman1982 on 08 April 2013 - 08:55 AM

"Well, with a sweep in Atlanta, we're going to have to move on from Jennifer Lawrence. I know. Sad."

Welp, here is what i'll be doing the rest of the day to supress my emotions:

I'm a dork. I still can't even post pics or gifs. I'm hanging my head in shame.

Do a google search for homer drooling gif, in the third row you should find this picture:

In the listings it won't be moving, click on the picture, it should give you some options to the right side, click on "View Original Image". This should put this picture by itself and the address bar should end in .gif. Copy that and come in here. Click on the "Polaroid picture icon" paste, hit ok and voila.

Or you can just continue to be a silly woman.

Holy cow. I gave up BN for Lent (along with FG, FB, and any other site that I spend inordinate amounts of time on (BN was the hardest, by far)), and I've been slowly catching myself up on the news/shenanigans around here. And, well, this thread... wow.

Did you know that there's a maximum amount of "Likes" you can have in a day? I hit my limit on page 20.

Only 16 more pages to go.

Well, that depends on how slow SirCub reads...

I'm okay, but it takes longer because I keep going back to re-read my favorite parts, or to see if I can see the plot twists coming the second time through. I get so nervous that Morken's going to stop commenting, or get the banhammer, even when I already know that he hangs around for 10 more pages!

So what you are saying is this thread is like Lost. There are some good parts, there are some bad parts, some characters you love, some you hate and then

It ends up just turning into a hot pile of nothingness that you have wasted years of your life following.

It's the 4th inning and we are already getting the replay of the day?

There's a decent chance we already have the replay of the year.

#39293 Game of Thrones

I'm halfway through season two SO this thread is dead to me until I'm caught up

Don't read it even when you finish, because it's riddled with book spoilers.

The show differs so much from the books that I'm not so sure it matters... but I skipped that post too, just to be safe.

That's why I don't read. Ruins the movie.

Sure seems to me like Moreland learned the concept of "pitch counts" this offseason. I think he's mentioned it 70 times already. (Much like my son does when he learns a new word.)

Maybe by next year he can learn about OBP.

Im going with 180...

It's my work computer and I work for a giant company, so it's a take what I get kinda thing.

3 guys playing space invaders and eating hamburgers in your mom's basement every day does not equal working for a 'giant company'.

Apparently you haven't seen the size of us 3.

#37843 Lou Piniella Talks about rape

Posted by hansman1982 on 22 March 2013 - 07:51 AM

I've been reading ths website for a while. I remember a past write-up by Brett, that when attempting to analogize a poor influence on a team's organization, he referred to them as being a "cancer". Should anyone who's ever had cancer, or anyone who's had a loved one die from cancer, be offended for his "stupid remarks"?

How about when Brett talks about a team being "killed" by another team? Should anyone who's has a family member who was killed, be offended?

Enough with the false outrage. What the fuck happened to men?

How about real outrage about people who aren't outraged? Because you sound pretty upset about this ...

You might say he's outraged, even.

I was thinking more along the lines of abhorred.

He seems as upset about this as I am when I run out of hamburgers.

#37659 Cubs Calendar 3/20/13 - 99

Posted by hansman1982 on 20 March 2013 - 09:51 AM

Todd Hundley in 2001 and So Taguchi in 2009. Which means Spriggs is not the winner today:

did you cheat?

No, just informing that was the answer.

Tommy and King Jeff are the winners.

He always cheats, he has the same calendar. Then he eats hamburgers.

Ummm, the correct timeline goes:

1. Wake up
2. Eat hamburger
3. Brush teeth with hamburger flavored toothpaste
4. Visit BN
5. Eat hamburger
6. Cheat
7. Eat hamburger
8. Eat hamburger
9. Make inane posts on BN about nothingness
10. Eat 2 hamburgers
11. Go to work
12. Realize work is a hamburger factory
13. Scream with joy

I can't believe this thread has made it to 17 pages.
I can't believe Hansman is the only person on earth to watch King of Thrones (and loves it!).
I can't believe that mitten refuses to stop saying smh.

If we talk about it enough, it will become a real show! YOU HEAR THAT HOLLYWOOD PRODUCERS! KING OF THRONES STARRING:

Leah Remini (who will be my primary love interest)
Jennifer Lawrence (who will be my primary love interest)
Kaley Cuoco (who will be my primary love interest)
That chick in Game of Thrones who showed up late in season 2 and is King Robb's secret love affair
1998 - 2008 Jennfier Aniston (that's right, 11 Jennifer Anistons)
1992 Jennifer Garth
1995 Yasmeen Bleeth
1939 Vivian Leigh (who will be my primary love interest)

Bingo..hit series followed by at least 6 or 7 movies.

Geez, way to hijack the message boards. Attention whores.
