Yea, I think so-- but he's really anyoung prospect- just out of High School, isn't he? But you're right- lots of our prospects are just out of High School. I was thinking of someone maybe a year or two away.

What is Stewart hitting against LHP? I can understand that. I don't understand why Theo/Jed are not looking for right-hand power hitters too. I don't thing we have any really good right hand power hitting prospects in the minors, do we? Is it something to do with Wrigley Field? The Wind? Sammy did ok ther, as did Ernie. I'm just curious why Left-hand hitters. I'd like to see a couple power hitters no matter left or right.

It seems obvious that we do not do well against left-hand pitchers. Why, then, does Theo/Jed seem to emphasize the "need" for left-hand power hitters? Especially when Sveum (sp??) does not play LeHair against them. Can anyone explain?

Great Post! I agree with all that you've said. But you guys must be kids! I cut my teeth on Hack at third, Pafko in center, Nicholson in right. I guess I am one of the few that have lived throu a Cubs World Series- but we didn't have a TV, so I just listened to it on the radio. (I was thirteen at the time
I am still hoping, though. Maybe soon!!

In Topic: Who should the Cubs target this offseason: Pujols or Fielder?

I'd concentrate on pitching, and use LeHair at first. I'd prefer a better fielder than Fielder, and Pujols will be too expensive for too many years. I would not try to resign Pena.

Go Brewers! for the World Series. I was raised a Cardinal fan---Until I learned better at about 10 years old. (My Mom was a Cardinal fan from the "Gashouse Gang" era. She loved Harry Carey--- when he was the Cardinal's announcer.)
